Our team continues to grow, and we are now recruiting for a Senior Biostatistician who will act as the in-house expert with respect to all statistical tasks and elements across all development projects in Vaccibody. The role is a key member of cross-functional project teams and serves as an ad-hoc member in clinical trial teams.  

About the role

As a Senior Biostatistician in Vaccibody you will be overall accountable for providing statistical input to clinical development plans, trial designs, clinical trial synopses and protocols, Health Authority documents and publications across the range of development projects in oncology and infectious diseases. The role is expected to participate actively in various internal process optimization initiatives related to statistical tasks, programming and data management. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Active member of cross-functional development and clinical teams 
  • Provide statistical input to clinical development plans, clinical trial synopses and protocols 
  • Provide input to and review of CRO proposals for new trials 
  • Contribute to Health Authority interactions/meetings and provide relevant input to Health Authority documents as well as Vaccibody publications 
  • Participate in CRO meetings and interactions, review Statistical Analysis Plan and other relevant trial specific documents and plans  
  • Analyze clinical trial data and provide input to clinical study reports 
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all aspects of biostatistics, having profound knowledge of industry standards, regulations and processes 
  • Ensure adherence to GCP, statistical principles, SOPs and external guidelines 

Your qualifications

  • University degree in statistics, life science, computer science or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience within drug development / biostatistics / data science  

  • Proficient programming experience in SAS and CDISC standards
  • Expert knowledge of statistical methodologies related to trial design, trial execution and reporting within early phase oncology and infectious disease clinical trials and/or vaccine trials 
  • Solid understanding of GCP and statistical regulatory guidelines and framework 
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, a good communicator 
  • Analytical, goal-oriented, innovative, proactive 
  • Extensive experience with CRO oversight activities related to statistical deliverables and metrics 
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English

Location for this position is not fixed, however preferably you are located in Norway or Denmark.
The position reports to Head of Development Operations.
