As Medical Writer you will be overall accountable for providing professional and strategic medical writing expertise across the portfolio of Vaccibody’s development projects. You will be responsible for writing, preparing, coordinating and managing all medical, scientific and clinical documents used for CTA/IND submissions and other Health Authority interactions.


More specifically, the Medical Writer will be accountable for high quality writing, preparing and coordination of manuscripts, abstracts, scientific posters and documents for presentation at external congresses and meetings. You are the in-house expert with respect to medical writing activities and key deliverables and will be a key member of cross-functional clinical trial teams and project development teams.

Key responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:  


  • Write and prepare scientific and clinical documents for submission to regulatory authorities (e.g., clinical trial synopses, protocols, investigator brochures, clinical trial reports, clinical overview and summaries, briefing books etc.)
  • Write and contribute to high-quality manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals as well as abstracts, posters and oral presentations for scientific congresses 
  • Interpret and explain data generated from a variety of sources, including internal and external clinical trials  
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all aspects of medical writing including internal processes and procedures as well as industry standard and external regulations  
  • Ensure adherence to GCP/GDP, SOPs and external guidelines 

Your qualifications

  • University degree in life science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of pharma/biotech/CRO experience within drug development / medical writing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • A proven ability to plan, drive, manage, structure, and write large, clear, concise, targeted and reader-friendly scientific, regulatory, clinical and medical documents in collaboration with many stakeholders
  • Profound knowledge of clinical development, GCP, statistics and scientific research methods, and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Preferably knowledge and experience from early phase clinical trial conduct within oncology and infectious disease


Located in either Oslo-area, Norway or Copenhagen-area, Denmark.
